Principal's Newsletter for November 2014

Dear Holy Angels Catholic School Parents and Guardians:

I hope that you had a successful T1 Interim Conference with your child's teacher in October and that you are continuing to work on the agreed upon goals for your child. Our students should already be raising their level of achievement during this second half of Trimester 1. It is really important that you hold your child to the same high expectations that we do. No excuses. Remind your child daily:

  • You are great!
  • Complete your work as required and when required.
  • Do not interfere with a teacher's right to teach and another child's right to learn.
  • Be kind in action and in word.
  • Respect and honor the God in everyone.
  • Always respond with words and speak in complete sentences.
  • Look right into the eyes of the person to whom you are speaking.

This is what scholars do. Together we are helping our young scholars grow! Thank you!

Our giving projects are an important part of our Christian outreach. Our giving shows that we are followers of Jesus. Our November and December canned food donations will be given to St. Benedict Church for their neighborhood outreach. Please continue to be very generous. The Prayer Tables in our classrooms have food baskets and we need them to overflow with canned food items during this holiday season. We will also collect gently used and cleaned or new blankets for the homeless from Nov 3-Nov 25. Our donations will be given to Van Brooks, founder of Safe Alternative Foundation for Education, Inc. to give out to people in need. May God continue to bless you for your kindness.

I wish you a very happy and holy Thanksgiving with your family. If you are traveling, be safe and Godspeed to you.

Respectfully,
M. Kathleen Filippelli
Principal
