Principal's Newsletter for January 2015

Dear Holy Angels Catholic School Families,

I wish you the very best of the New Year! I hope that 2015 brings an increase in faith, love, health, and wealth! May you and your home be filled with peace and prosperity, and may God’s blessings be upon you and your family throughout the entire year. January 5th is our first day of school for 2015. On the next day, we will officially end our celebration of the Christmas season. It is the Feast of the Epiphany or “Little Christmas”, which is the day the church recognizes the Magi’s arrival at the stable with gifts for the Newborn King. Happy Little Christmas, everyone!

Upon your child’s return, we will be well into Trimester 2. There are so many positive, peaceful, and productive things happening in school every day. Children in these varying developmental stages do not always recognize that their accomplishments relate directly to their attitude and their effort. Your child’s success is comparable to the amount of effort and positivity displayed when doing academic work. Here’s to a positive, productive 2015!

Make your “snow day” back-up plan now, just in case. We follow the “Baltimore County Public Schools” announcement that will be made on WBAL Ch 11 and WBAL 1090 radio. If an emergency closes just our building (no electricity, no heat, water outage, etc.) then the closing of Seton Keough and Holy Angels Catholic School will be announced on WBAL 11, on our website, via the Emergency Alert system to your phone and email, and on our Facebook page. Listen every morning and be ready to implement your plan.

May you experience the joy of God’s beautiful winter, and may He keep you safe.

Best regards,
M. Kathleen Filippelli
