Principal's Newsletter for February 2015

Dear Holy Angels Catholic School Families,

Happy Black History Month! Our students are learning about many great accomplishments and contributions of African Americans. I am so proud of our Student Council Officers who are presenting their African American Minute each morning during our announcements. Please engage your child in a conversation about this important information.

You are invited to join us at our Black History Prayer Service on Thursday, February 26th in the auditorium at 10:00. Fr. Paul from St. Ambrose Catholic Church will lead us in prayer and celebration. Our HACS Dancers and Choir will perform, too. Thank you, Mrs. Barkley and Mrs. Gonzalez, for preparing our students for this annual event.

Our first annual Father Daughter Dance is Sunday, February 8th from 3:00-5:00 in our cafeteria. I really hope we have a large turnout for this exciting, new event.

February 28th is the last day to ask the Archdiocese of Baltimore for a tuition grant for your child for next year. The request must be made electronically through FACTS, so please handle this now. Since we do not yet know if there needs to be an increase in tuition, type in this current year’s tuition of $5200. I do not want the tuition assistance to go to other families in the Archdiocese whose need may not be as great as yours. Please ask Mrs. Martin if you have any questions. She can be reached at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or by phone at 443-602-3200.

Last but not least, please mark March 14th on your calendar and get your ticket to our 5th Annual Bull and Oyster Roast! If you’ve never been, you have no idea what you’re missing. Fun people, great food, and good music! See today’s flyer for the details.

May God continue to bless you. In all things, praise Him!

M. Kathleen Filippelli
