Students with Learning Differences
If students have an IEP or 504 Service Plan, the Coordinator of Students with Learning Differences will coordinate their accommodations, create a Holy Angels Service Plan, and meet with Principal, teachers, and parents.
Speech and Language Services
Speech and Language Services are provided through a partnership with Loyola University Maryland. Loyola Graduate Students screen and evaluate students with potential speech and language deficiencies, provide literacy and language enrichment to PreK, Kindergarten and Grade 1, as well as provide speech and language therapy to individual students. Referrals to this program are made by families and or teachers.
Catapult Learning provides extra academic support in reading and math to students who qualify for services through the Title I federal program.
As part of Catholic Charities Family Services, the school consultant at Holy Angels provides supportive services to enhance students’ overall academic experience, both socially and emotionally. Services can include individual supportive counseling, small groups, classroom presentations, and referrals for specialized services in the community and collaboration with mental health providers.
Referrals for services are initiated by parents, teachers, administrators, or by student request.
Behavioral Therapeutic Services
Villa Maria Community Resources offers behavioral therapy services to individual students and families who receive Medical Assistance. Our licensed therapist treats a variety of different behavioral concerns including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and anger.
Oral Health Impact Project
Comprehensive quality oral health care is provided at Holy Angels for all those who enroll. Screenings are provided for free, and dental exams, x-rays, cleanings, fillings, topical fluoride applications, and preventative sealants are available for a fee, usually paid by Medicaid, CHIP, private insurance, or self-pay.
