Arts & Music

All Holy Angels students participate in Art class once a week. Our budding artists study the seven elements of art: line, shape, color, value, form, space and texture, as well as the six principles of design: emphasis, pattern, variety, unity, balance, and rhythm. These ideas are examined by learning and using art vocabulary and by working with a diverse range of materials to create drawings, paintings, prints, and sculptures.

In Music class, our students study music theory, history, and appreciation. These concepts are reinforced through singing, listening, and movement.

Holy Angels Choir meets after school once a week and focuses on Gospel and Sacred Music. Children in the choir lead the school in song during Mass and other assemblies.

During Christmas, the entire school participates in a Christmas program. Performances include a narration and living Nativity scene, holiday songs, poems, and most importantly, celebrating the birth of our Lord.

In February, we celebrate Black History Month with an assembly. Each class works on a special performance of either dance, spoken word, step, plays, and other expressions to celebrate the accomplishments of African Americans.

In March, we invite our students to share their God-given gifts in a Talent Show.
